If you offer marketing services and want to structure things so you can hire more people to help your clients get the results that they want...

Your ideal clients can't be described with a random buzzwords like “committed”, “accountable”, “motivated”, "empowered" 🤦🏽‍♀️

You need more clients like your previous all-star clients. They are the ones best positioned to get results and prepared to do the work.

Many marketers say just sell to clients who have the pain point you solve and can afford your prices…

This system works great for businesses that either don’t care about their clients or are okay with feeling like your clients are in control of the whole process.

But for a business owner who really want to streamline things and stop inhibiting the growth of your business without tanking your reputation, sacrificing time freedom or feeling like you are working for a boss…

Your clients are more than people with a pain point and money.

In fact, to get more structure, peace, and joy as an entrepreneur who loves people, your goal is to work with clients who are best prepared to get the outcome you offer…

So, they can go through the repeatable engaging journey you created with less work for you, them and your team.

Anyway, back to our talk on prepared clients.

🔐Prepared Clients = Awareness + Desire + Knowledge & Ability

Let’s break it down…

🦩Awareness

An aware client knows they have a pain point and wants to do something about it. They also know who you are and what it takes to get results when working with you.

Let’s say you are a Marketing Consultant; your ideal client would be looking for help to get more leads. They love you and know you have a 3-step process to results.

But if you stop there, you’ll be like every “uncaring-in-it-for-the-money-Tom” or “caring-unstructured-I-just-want-to-help-Harry” who says yes to each client with a pain point.

And you don’t want that.  So you need to take it further with Desire.

🦩Desire

Clients with desire have the factors that fuel their motivation and ultimate choice to participate in the client journey to results.

So instead of vaguely saying they are “motivated”, “committed”, "empowered", or “accountable”…

Your Ideal Client becomes => someone clear on the outcome they desire and believes they can achieve the results and has values and the personal situation that won’t hinder progress. 🤯

Checking for desire helps you work with clients best suited to follow your process and get results. You are no longer randomly saying “yes” to every client with a pain point you can help with who seems to have the vague characteristics you desire…

You see what I mean😉

Now let's go to the 3rd thing to gauge and up your client’s preparedness.

🦩Their Knowledge and Ability.

With inefficient client delivery, this is a walk in the park….you just throw together some training and information then that’s what clients go through. 

With efficient client delivery… You have to dig a little deeper.

And this is where entrepreneurs get lazy and say:

My clients just need to ask questions, watch a few training videos, read your contract, PDF resources and posts or some other vague non-specific abstract thing🙄

With better streamlined client fulfillment that works for all clients, you don’t put information out there and expect clients to get it – you confirm they have the knowledge and abilities they need to thrive, or you foster those specific knowledge and abilities clients need to get results at the right time.

Let me explain with our Marketing Consultant...

 

1️⃣Knowledge: How will you work together and what do you need to get results. 

➡️What knowledge, expertise, etc. do clients need to know/have to work with you?

➡️What specific training & education resources do clients need from you to foster new skills & behaviors and understand your processes, systems & tools and new roles and responsibilities

➡️What are your clients’ learning styles and what do they need to get access to the required knowledge? E.g. internet access?

2️⃣Ability: Do clients have the ability to follow your process and achieve the desired outcome 

➡️Psychological, physical and intellectual abilities

➡️Timeframe needed to develop the needed skills (can clients do it in that timeframe?)

➡️Access to resources (financial support, time, proper tools and material, subject matter experts, etc.) to support the development of new abilities and complete the steps to results

Positioning themselves to work with prepared clients is why marketing agencies like our clients can finally create project templates for different client projects. They eventually automate delivery in a project management tool or hire more people to hand off client fulfillment to without being pulled back into the weeds... 

They are going beyond clients with a pain point and money...

They work with all-star prepared clients who have Awareness + Desire + Knowledge & Ability to get results.

As an entrepreneur who wants to go to grow your business by streamlining fulfillment and have something structured to train and manage the people you hire so you maintain your reputation, get client results and finally go on vacation…working with prepared clients is your biggest asset for getting out of the rat race. 🏃🏽‍♀️⭕ 

With prepared clients you work less because they are best suited and well-equipped to be guided by you/your team along the streamlined engageable journey designed to get them results. 😎
